Please see information below from South Lanarkshire Council regarding the proposal to change catchment area for Newton Farm Primary School.

Statutory Consultation Proposal: to change the catchment areas of Newton Farm Primary School and Hallside Primary School to balance pupil numbers more effectively within the two schools and to alter the secondary school those pupils in the rezoned area would attend from Uddingston Grammar School to Cathkin High School.

We are seeking views on the proposal to change the catchment areas of both Newton Farm Primary School and Hallside Primary School to balance pupil numbers more effectively between the two schools.  In addition, to alter the secondary school attended by those pupils in the affected area from Uddingston Grammar School to Cathkin High School.

The proposal is open to statutory public consultation from Monday 25 October to  Monday 6 December 2021 and virtual meetings will take place on 9 November and 10 November.  Registration for either meeting can be done by calling 01698 452088 or emailing educationconsultations@southlanarkshire.gov.uk
