ACE Awards 

Every week, the staff at Cairns Primary nominate pupils in their class for an ACE Award.  The ACE Awards are based on the 4 capactieis of the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE): 

• Responsible Citizens
• Effective Contributors
• Successful Learners
• Confident Individuals

At the start of each week, the pupils will be told in their classes which of the 4 capacities will be their target for the week.  Throughout the week, the staff will monitor and observe all pupils and on a Friday they will put forward their nominations.

The ACE award achievement system runs throughout the year and pupils strive to attain as many awards as they can in order to achieve their Gold award.  To achieve this they must progress through the following steps:

• 2 ACE awards - Bronze Award
• A further 2 ACE Awards - Silver Award
• A further 2 ACE Awards - Gold Award

A huge congratulations and well done to the few pupils who achieved their Gold Award last year! Well done!
