This year Primary 6 this year is Mrs McIntrye.
Primary 6 have been participating in lots of fantastic learning in Term 2. This term our numeracy focus is 2D shape, Money, Problem solving and continuing work on the 4 operations. In Literacy, we are finishing off our class novel Wonder, which has allowed us to not only develop our reading skills but also explore the important themes of prejudice, friendship, and self/others acceptance. In writing, this term we are focusing on functional writing and have enjoyed pumpkin carving and smoothie making experiences which have helped us hone our skills in writing step by step instructions. Those who have Bikeability level 1 skills have completed 2 hours of on the road skills development already this term and are looking forward to completing the rest of level 2 in the coming weeks. We have also been learning about COP26 and the importance of making changes now to reduce global warming. As part of our commitment to the planet, Primary 6 are leading an initiative to recycle crips packets in school, to be made into survival blankets for the homeless, in time for Christmas.
